George Pendergrass
US Representative-6th District
I am a conservative and running on the republican ticket.
I believe in the Constitution and in the People of this Great Nation. When I see an American flag, I still think of Washington with his troops, rags on their feet marching on…and of their password: “Victory or Death!” We have to remember and know our great past to make the way for the future of our country.
Our country is not going in the right direction; it is supposed to be
“OF THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, FOR THE PEOPLE”.
Congressmen are supposed to represent the People, today they seem to represent the lobbyist and big money. No one represents our working class.
I am running for the Congress so our voices may be heard!
I promise…
I promise to get back to the grassroots of American leadership.
I promise to go to Washington and not sell out to lobbies or other politicians, and to speak for the working people.
I promise to serve only three consecutive terms (6 years) when reelected by you in recognition of my hard work! YES, I am for term limits!
Proud member of the NRA.
For the People, by the People
What are we battling?
The greatest problem we face is the debt and big government.
- Job loss and unemployment.
- Lost manufacturing due to high taxes and jobs going overseas.
- Energy.
- Education.
- Healthcare.
- The raising of taxes (individual and business) and hidden new tax increases.
- Terrorism.
- Immigration.
Solutions:
- We have to stop big spending and become fiscally responsible.
- A pay as you go system, instead of a massive increase in debt. You can't buy your way out of a recession.
- Big government has to quit sponsoring earmarks and a bill should stand alone.
- Flat or Fair Tax for all Companies and Businesses.
- More incentives and breaks for US goods and services.
- Work with companies to bring Manufacturing jobs back into the US.
- Higher taxes and fees on imported goods and services.
- Job killing-cap and trade. Why should we pay others for our success?
- Secure our borders and know who is in our country.
- Terrorist need to be treated as foreign combatants-tried in military, not civil courts.
- Keep healthcare private and allow access across state lines. Implement tort reform.
- We need to use our clean burning coal plants, oil reserves, natural gas, nuclear power plants, and work on new alternatives for energy.
- We need to stay with the basics - reading writing, arithmatic, and American History.
